Zamfara: ZSIRS introduces compulsory registration of tricycles

The Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service, ZSIRS, say it will commence compulsory operation on Monday 10th June, 2024, to arrest operators of tricycles who have not registered with the Board.

This was announced by the Executive chairperson of the Service, Hajiya Rakiya Ahmed Dodo, through the Director Information and Intelligence Gathering, Alhaji Hadi Bawa Gusau, while speaking with newsman in Gusau, the state capital on Saturday.

Dodo said this became imperative considering that some disgruntled elements hide behind the business to carry out their criminal activities on innocent citizens in the society.

The Executive chairperson further said, “by this directive therefore, all operators are expected to register their vehicles immediately in order to avoid being fined by the enforcement team of the Service that will commence operation on Monday next week.”

The ZSIRS boss added that the introduction of the compulsory registration was to assist in the reduction of security challenges being experienced in the state.
