The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested and paraded seven suspects in connection with the murder of Sheikh Abubakar Hassan Mada.
DAILY POST reports that the Islamic cleric was killed in Zamfara State.
The suspects were paraded by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Dalijan, at the Command’s headquarters in Gusau, the state capital.
Dalijan further stated that the police operatives also arrested one Kabiru, who was among the terrorists that burnt a police operational vehicle and attacked the residence of the former Chairman of the National Union office Road Transport Workers, NURTW.
“The police have also apprehended two suppliers of ammunition to terrorist kingpin, Bashari, who has been operating in the Shinkafi and Kaura Namoda areas of Zamfara State. The two suspects were identified as Anas-Ruwa Tukur and Tijjani Aliyu,” the CP added.
“Two suspects allegedly forged documents to claim 40 cows in Zamfara State.”
The police commissioner promised that the suspects will be charged to court of competent jurisdiction for possible prosecution.
