Yuletide: FRSC deploys 800 personnel for special patrol in Benue

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has announced the deployment of 800 personnel for special patrol operations in Beñue State to ensure accident free Christmas festivities.

This was disclosed by the Sector commander, Corps Commander Stephen Ayodele in an interview with journalists in Makurdi.

Ayodele warned motorists plying routes in the state to strictly observe traffic rules and regulations.

He charged them against using worn-out tyres, avoid over loading, over speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Ayodele further disclosed that the personnel were made up of both regular and special Marshalls.

He said the command has identified traffic dreadlock areas and accident prone spots with the intention to give adequate attention to such places.

They include Wurukum Roundabout, Benue Link’s U- turn, SRS Junction, Bolek Filling Station Junction, along Modern Market road, all in Makurdi town, as well as Agan Toll Gate.

He added that the command would do everything possible to also ensure that road accident victims were attended to and on time.
