Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni, has officially kicked off the 2025 budget bilateral discussions with ministries, departments, and agencies in the state.
Represented by Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, the governor emphasised the importance of transparency and public participation in governance as he seeks to build on his administration’s commitment to inclusive budget planning.
The bilateral discussions mark the beginning of a collaborative process aimed at allocating resources effectively and prioritising people-oriented projects.
Buni has also charged the Ministry of Budget to ensure that more resources are dedicated to initiatives that benefit the citizens of Yobe State.
Key objectives of the 2025 Budget Bilateral Discussions include enhancing transparency, fostering open communication between MDAs and stakeholders and promoting public participation among others.
