Omoloun died in the early hours of Wednesday. Until his death, he was a member of the Oke Ogun federated chapel within the council.<\/p>\n
The deceased was buried on Thursday in Shaki town in Oke Ogun geo-political zone of the state.<\/p>\n
The state council in a statement by its Chairman, Ademola Babalola confirmed the death of the deceased.<\/p>\n
The council revealed that Omoloun died following a brief illness at a hospital.<\/p>\n
The statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday said, \u201cThe Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has mournfully announced the demise of Comrade Sola Omoloun, a distinguished member of the Oke Ogun Federated Chapel within the council.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe NUJ Oyo State leadership, in their condolence message, extended their sympathies to the Oke-Ogun Federated Chapel, the broader journalism community in Oyo, and particularly to the bereaved family. They prayed for the family\u2019s strength and resilience to endure this great loss.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe statement also expressed a sentiment of acceptance that it was God\u2019s will to call Comrade Sola Omoloun to eternal rest, with hopes for continued divine protection for everyone into the year 2024 and beyond.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing discussions with the Oke Ogun Federated Chapel leaders and the family of the deceased, it was announced that Comrade Sola Omoloun was laid to rest on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at a cemetery in the Shaki area of Oke Ogun, Oyo State\u201d.<\/p>\n
