The Kano State Fire Service have confirmed the early Wednesday fire that gutted 17 Gwale Local Government Secretariat offices.<\/p>\n
The Public Relations Officer of the service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident to NAN in Kano.<\/p>\n
Abdullahi said the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
\u201dWe received a distress call at about 03:43 am from Abdullahi Hassan that there was a fire outbreak at Gwale Secretariat.<\/p>\n
\u201cUpon receiving the information, we quickly sent a fire vehicle to the scene at about 03:46 am to bring the fire under control,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Abdullahi said that the ground floor of about 300 x 200ft used as an office and others, totalling 17, was completely razed down.<\/p>\n
He also said a 406 Peugeot, one Hiace bus and a station wagon ambulance were slightly burnt.<\/p>\n
He assured that the service was investigating the cause of the fire.<\/p>\n
