Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen has explained his decision to replace Gabriel Osho after the first half against Benin Republic.<\/p>\n
Osho made his debut for the Super Eagles in the keenly contested encounter.<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old paired captain William Troost-Ekong and Calvin Bassey at the heart of the defence.<\/p>\n
The Super Eagles trailed 1-0 after the break and Eguavoen substituted the Auxerre defender at the start of the second half.<\/p>\n
\u201cOsho is a very good player, who I have been following, I even told him even before he came that in the absence of Semi Ajayi, he will start against Benin,\u201d Eguavoen told Eagle7fm Sports Radio<\/p>\n
\u201cHe trained only once and then played.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was substituted not because he was not playing well but because I reverted to a back four so as to get something from the game.\u201d<\/p>\n
