DAILY POST gathered that Akinolu had reportedly gone to the hotel to meet a man whom he had paid N50,000 to rent musical instruments when he was allegedly attacked by some suspects.<\/p>\n
The incident happened at about 12:40 pm on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Confirming the development on Wednesday, the Police spokesperson in the state, Omolola Odutola, said the incident was reported to the Ajuwon division of the Command by the victim\u2019s father.<\/p>\n
Odutola noted that the victim was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cHe sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where the doctor pronounced him dead.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis prompted a group of people to organise an attack on the hotel.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe hotel manager was injured, and several instruments were damaged during the violence. Our officers were dispatched to the scene to restore order.<\/p>\n
\u201cMeanwhile, the body has been taken to a mortuary in Olambe for examination and autopsy.\u201d<\/p>\n
She maintained that efforts were ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the act.<\/p>\n
