Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, has said Israel has defeated Hezbollah, describing the elimination of its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, as a significant accomplishment in the nation\u2019s security efforts.<\/p>\n
Katz made this announcement on Sunday during a ceremony at Israel\u2019s foreign ministry, where he stressed the importance of sustaining pressure to secure lasting results from the victory.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that Israel has no interest in intervening in Lebanon\u2019s internal politics, acknowledging that Israel has learned lessons from past experiences.<\/p>\n
The defense minister, however, expressed optimism that the international community would seize the opportunity to pursue a political resolution, encouraging Lebanon to join other nations in normalising relations with Israel.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow it is our job to continue to put pressure to bring about the fruits of that victory,\u201d Katz said.<\/p>\n
