Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has disclosed that his administration met a dead system upon assumption of office.<\/p>\n

Fubara spoke on Sunday at the 18th anniversary celebration of Omega Power Ministries, OPM, and Chibuzor Chinyere\u2019s 51st birthday.<\/p>\n

He also urged people of the state to pray for him to have power to defend humanity in the state.<\/p>\n

According to Fubara: \u201cThose of us outside understand your contribution to humanity, how many of our schools are still functioning to provide that level of training, it\u2019s no longer there.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe met a dead system which we are trying to revive, but you are doing it as a private person, so why won\u2019t God bless you?<\/p>\n

\u201cI want more power for the progress of Rivers State, more power for the defence of humanity in Rivers State.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat you owe us is just one thing, to continue to pray for us not to lose focus because we know the devil is always at work to always derail people in governance, continue to pray for us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith your prayers, the purpose of governance will be achieved in Rivers State.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fubara and his predecessor, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike have been fighting over the control of the state.<\/p>\n
