The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Friday denied reports of forming a political wing.<\/p>\n

IPOB described the report as fake and stated that it should be disregarded because the group is apolitical.<\/p>\n

Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB, said it would form a political wing once Biafra is actualized.<\/p>\n

A statement by Powerful reads partly: \u201cThe Directorate of State (DOS) of the noble family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wishes to debunk the falsehood that IPOB has formed a political wing by one faceless political jobber, Nwachukwu Emereonye.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe story is fake and fiction from his imagination, planted by the Nigerian Government and DSS.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe public should disregard this media propaganda from a faceless publisher. IPOB remains a nonviolent freedom-fighting movement, has not, and will not participate in the fantastically corrupt political selection and system of Nigeria called the Nigerian election. IPOB IS APOLITICAL! Once Biafra liberation is achieved, IPOB will form a legitimate political wing for the smooth running of the Biafra government.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis latest propaganda is the deceptive handiwork of DSS to deceive the public. It is likely that the DSS is trying to float a pseudo-political party in the Southeast Region using some faceless political nobodies and nitwits who will claim they are members of IPOB.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut IPOB is on the ground in Biafra Land, and we are waiting for the DSS agents who will impersonate IPOB while claiming to be part of the zoo political system.<\/p>\n

\u201cIPOB is a freedom-fighting movement seeking Biafra independence and sovereignty from the zoo called Nigeria. IPOB has no political wing, and we are not interested in the corrupt political system in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cIPOB leadership informs Biafrans and the public to disregard the media propaganda authored by the Nigerian government through their lawless DSS for the sole purpose of distracting the public from the real issues tormenting Nigeria. The only political system that IPOB will play a role in with the Nigerian government is in the politics of setting up the Biafra referendum.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil the Biafra referendum season is announced by IPOB and other reputable media organizations, consider every publication insinuating that IPOB has formed a political party to participate in Nigeria\u2019s corrupt politics as junk news.
