The patient reportedly fled on Saturday due to her inability to pay her medical bills after having treatment at the medical centre for an undisclosed disease.<\/p>\n
According to reports, she was admitted to the medical center\u2019s gynecology unit on November 11, 2023, and was supposed to be discharged on November 16, 2023.<\/p>\n
She was unable to leave the hospital, however, due to her failure to meet her financial obligations to the medical institution.<\/p>\n
She was alleged to have lied to hospital staff that she went to buy food at a local store but never returned to the hospital, knowing she could not pay her medical bills.<\/p>\n
Reports have it that after efforts to trace her proved abortive, the Chief Security Officer of the medical centre, Akpoji Joshua, reported the matter to the Kemta Police Division on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Omolola Odutola, the state Police Public Relations Officer, told reporters on Tuesday that the police in Kemta Division were assisting the hospital in locating the patient.<\/p>\n
