Following the death of his wife, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has named his daughter, Helen Eno-Obareki, as the Acting First Lady of the state.<\/p>\n

Eno disclosed this when Nigeria\u2019s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, paid him a condolence visit in Uyo.<\/p>\n

The governor said his daughter would work closely with the state\u2019s deputy governor to ensure the Office of the First Lady continues its duties.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo maintain the Office of the First Lady and carry forward my late wife\u2019s work, I present our daughter, Helen, to continue the duties of the office.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe will work closely with the Deputy Governor and the Commissioner for Women\u2019s Affairs and Social Welfare,\u201d the governor said.<\/p>\n

Eno expressed his confidence in his daughter\u2019s ability to deliver in the new assignment and sustain her mother\u2019s legacies.<\/p>\n
