Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, says the N27.5 trillion Appropriation Bill for 2024 submitted to the National Assembly illustrates President Bola Tinubu\u2019s commitment to fiscal restraint.<\/p>\n
Idris revealed this at the 2023 Public Lecture and Annual General Meeting of the Kaduna State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) on Saturday in Abuja.<\/p>\n
The meeting with the theme, \u201cDemographic transition, ethical resources, and sustainable development: Reflection on Northern Nigeria\u201d, was organized by the Kaduna Chapter of the NIPR.<\/p>\n
The minister described Tinubu as a transformational leader with a proven track record in the private sector and at the subnational level of government, adding that he is a man who will not be intimidated by challenges and barriers since he is more than up to the task.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust this week, he presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill of N27.5 trillion to the National Assembly, the first full-year budget of his administration.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe budget as presented signifies a pivotal step towards the realization of his Renewed Hope Agenda, by aligning fiscal strategies and priorities with broader national development objectives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
