Former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar Jr. has picked the player he would support to win the Ballon d\u2019Or this year.<\/p>\n
Neymar, had recently named a host of Real Madrid players such Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius as favourites for the most prestigious individual award.<\/p>\n
But in an interview with Brand Sports, Neymar had opted for Vinicius Jr, a player he says, deserves the award having gone through a lot in life.<\/p>\n
The coveted award is set to be presented in Paris on October 28.<\/p>\n
Vinicius is widely considered the favorite to win the award after a stellar 2023-24 season with Real Madrid.<\/p>\n
Neymar said via Marca, \u201cOf course I will be supporting him [Vinicius] to win the Ballon d\u2019Or this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me there is no other better candidate to win. He\u2019s a guy who deserves it, because he\u2019s a fighter.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has suffered a lot throughout his life, but he has exceeded all expectations and criticism. He has become an idol for all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
