Afrobeat singer Davido and Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, engaged in a heated exchange on X over political differences.<\/p>\n

It all started after Davido tagged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, \u201cthe most dangerous institution in Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer made the allegation on Saturday following the controversy trailing the ongoing governorship election in Edo State.<\/p>\n

Dismissing Davido\u2019s claim, Gawat, who is an APC member, attacked the singer with an unfavourable response.<\/p>\n

He wrote, \u201cThis tweet means ONLY one thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response, Davido, who is a strong supporter of Edo\u2019s PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo, wrote: \u201cU go dey here dey tweet nonsense but any time I\u2019m around your principal, nah you go first carry phone with flash like okirika dey blind person eye.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gawat fired back by sharing a video of Davido hailing and referring to his boss, Governor Sanwo-Olu, as \u201cthe real 001\u201d during his wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n
