One person has been confirmed dead and ten others were severely injured in a lone crash that occurred on the Sapade bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.<\/p>\n
The crash, involving a white Mazda bus with registration number GGE 858 XY, happened at about 2:58 p.m. on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The FRSC Public Relations Officer, Ogun Sector Command, Florence Okpe, said the suspected causes of the crash were speeding, a tire burst, and loss of control.<\/p>\n
She said, \u201cA total of 17 people were involved, comprising 8 male adults, 7 female adults, 1 male child, and 1 female child. Unfortunately, 1 female adult was killed, while 10 people were seriously injured\u20142 male adults, 6 female adults, 1 male child, and 1 female child.\u201d<\/p>\n
Okpe noted that the injured victims were taken to Patmag Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention, while the corpse was deposited at FOS Morgue, Ipara.<\/p>\n
The Sector Commander, Akinwumi Fasakin, advised motorists to always pay close attention to their tires by checking the expiration date, tire tread, and avoiding substandard tires.<\/p>\n
