The Action People\u2019s Party, APP, along the GRA axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital suffered a dynamite explosion on Monday.<\/p>\n

The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Monday precisely around 1am.<\/p>\n

The assailants allegedly threw dynamites into the building housing the secretariat, destroying windows and doors, as well as other property of the party.<\/p>\n

This came amidst speculations that the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, plans to move with his supporters to the APP.<\/p>\n

A party official who chose to remain anonymous said the incident was politically-motivated.<\/p>\n

He said \u201cYes, I\u2019m a member of the APP. I was informed of the attack at about 3 am today<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is politically-motivated and there is no two ways about it. They know that the APP is a fast-growing political party in the state. We call on the police to investigate this and arrest the culprits.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, The spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said she was not yet aware of the incident.<\/p>\n
