\n
The English Football Association, FA, have appointed Lee Carsley as the Three Lions\u2019 interim manager for the start of the Nations League campaign in September.<\/p>\n
Carsley will now lead England in the September matches away to the Republic of Ireland and at home to Finland.<\/p>\n
He replaces Gareth Southgate, who recently resigned as head coach of the England football national team.<\/p>\n
Southgate brought his eight years in charge to an end after Spain defeated England in the Euro 2024 final last month.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an honour to step up and lead this England squad on an interim basis,\u201d Carsley said after the appointment.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs I am very familiar with the players and the cycle of international football.\u201d<\/p>\n
