Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has said the planned nationwide protest is for poor Nigerians.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST reports that a nationwide protest themed #EndBadGovernance\u2019 is planned for August 1 to August 10, 2024.<\/p>\n
The protest has been the subject of media discourse over the last week.<\/p>\n
In a viral video on social media, Portable said he decided to participate in the 2020 #EndSARS protest because he was poor.<\/p>\n
He noted that billionaires like Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola do not participate in protests.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey said that I joined the protest in 2020. It was then, poor thinking! Now that I have money, I am thinking like a wealthy person,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHave you ever seen Otedola and Dangote protesting? You won\u2019t see people like Dele Momodu. Better mind your business! I didn\u2019t have money back then. I\u2019m now thinking like a rich man.\u201d<\/p>\n
Recall that Portable had earlier announced that he won\u2019t be joining the protest because he is financially comfortable.<\/p>\n
Portable gained fame in 2021, following the release of \u2018Zazoo Zeh\u2019, his hit single featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.<\/p>\n
