The agency, in a statement on Monday, notes that states expected to be significantly affected are Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Yobe, Borno, Sokoto, Katsina, Bauchi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Plateau, Niger, and Benue, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.<\/p>\n
\u201cContinuous rainfall is anticipated in the coastal states of Lagos, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, and Cross Rivers, while moderate rainfall is expected in Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Edo, Delta, and Anambra states.<\/p>\n
\u201cFlash flooding is likely to result from these weather patterns,\u201d NiMet said.<\/p>\n
