Ifeoma Onumonu has been named as replacement for the injured Halimat Ayinde in Super Falcons\u2019 squad for the 2024 Olympic Games, DAILY POST reports.<\/p>\n

Ayinde picked up an injury in training last week which ruled her out of the competition.<\/p>\n

Onumonu, who was named among the alternate players by head coach, Randy Waldrum has now been included in the 18-player squad.<\/p>\n

In a related development, forward Regina Otu has been invited as an alternate player.<\/p>\n

The Super Falcons are currently in Sevilla, Spain perfecting strategies for the Olympics.<\/p>\n

The nine-time African will take on current Olympic champions, Canada in a friendly next Wednesday.<\/p>\n

They will depart for Paris, France for the games.<\/p>\n

Nigeria will face Spain, Japan and Brazil in Group C.<\/p>\n
