Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has revealed that a physical assault on a DJ years ago affected his career.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST recalls that Terry G stirred controversy after slapping DJ Jimmy Jatt\u2019s protege, DJ Phreez, at an event in Lagos on June 5, 2016, for playing another artiste\u2019s song in a bid to get him off stage.<\/p>\n

His action led to the DJs Association of Nigeria, DJAN, blacklisting him back then.<\/p>\n

Speaking in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, the \u2018Akpako Master\u2019 admitted that the incident affected his growth as an artiste.<\/p>\n

He, however, added that he later apologised to the DJ Phreez and his boss, DJ Jimmy Jatt.<\/p>\n
