France forward, Marcus Thuram has claimed that teammate, N\u2019Golo Kante has been \u2018horrible\u2019 to play against in training.<\/p>\n
Thuram spoke ahead of France\u2019s Euro 2024 opener against Austria on Monday.<\/p>\n
Kante was a crucial part of France\u2019s World Cup-winning side back in 2018.<\/p>\n
The former Chelsea midfielder had not played for the national team for two years before he was called up by head coach Didier Deschamps for Les Bleus\u2019 Euro 2024 campaign this summer.<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old currently plays for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have the impression that there were three of him at Clairefontaine!\u201d Thuram joked during his press conference on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have never seen anything like it, it\u2019s horrible, it\u2019s horrible, we can\u2019t play anymore, we can\u2019t play in training anymore.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs soon as we have him on our team we know we have won.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut more seriously, N\u2019Golo is incredible and I think that in one week he reminded us why he was one of the best midfielders in the world. I think we are very happy to have him with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
