He takes over from Tade Adeyemi who retired from service and has since been appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Civil Service Matters.<\/p>\n
The new NULGE President in Kogi State defeated his close rival, Lasisi Aminu in a bye-election held in Lokoja on Thursday.<\/p>\n
He scored 26 votes to defeat Lasisi who scored five votes.<\/p>\n
Others elected at the Special Delegate Congress include Adejoh Alih, (Welfare Officer) and Olajide Ronald Babalola, (Welfare Officer 1).<\/p>\n
In his remarks, the Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Gabriel Amari, congratulated the immediate past President of NULGE for a successful completion of tenure.<\/p>\n
The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Onuh Edoka, charged the new President to imbibe the fear of God and work for the people\u2019s interests.<\/p>\n
In his valedictory speech, the immediate past NULGE President in Kogi State, Tade Adeyemi thanked members for the support, adding that, the new administration must work towards resolving the issues of litigations in the union.<\/p>\n
