Nigeria forward, Cyriel Dessers could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury in Rangers\u2019 Scottish Cup final defeat to Celtic.<\/p>\n
Dessers lasted only 25 minutes on the pitch before he was substituted.<\/p>\n
The Nigeria international will undergo scan this week to determine the extent of the injury.<\/p>\n
According to reports emanating from Scotland, the striker could miss the start of next season due to the setback.<\/p>\n
\u201cI got injured in the first half, after around 25 minutes, it\u2019s my ankle,\u201d Dessers said after the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cI tried to go on because obviously it was the game of the year, the big final at the end of the season, one big push. But I had to come off. I\u2019ll get it assessed in the next few days.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old scored 22 goals across all competitions for the Light Blues during the campaign.<\/p>\n
