Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has said that he would miss teammate Toni Kroos after the Los Blancos confirmed the German\u2019s retirement from football after this year\u2019s Euro 2024.<\/p>\n
Real Madrid had earlier on Tuesday confirmed that Kroos will hang up his boots after the conclusion of Euro 2024 this summer.<\/p>\n
Reacting, Modric, in a lengthy post on Instagram, expressed sadness at the news. He also described the former Bayern Munich star as a legend.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving a hard time writing these words,\u201d Modric wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe football world is sad because a historic footballer is leaving, and I admit, I am also very sad. Man, you are a legend of this sport and a legend of Real Madrid.<\/p>\n
\u201cI really enjoyed playing by your side. It\u2019s truly been an honour to share Real Madrid\u2019s centre field with you.
