Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has explained Erling Haaland\u2019s failure to score against Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

Haaland also failed to score against the LaLiga giants over two legs last season.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the 23-year-old was shackled by Aurelio Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger, as both teams played out a 3-3 draw in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.<\/p>\n

Guardiola has now claimed that the two players that marshalled Haaland did a good job.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe scored three goals at the Bernab\u00e9u. He had two central defenders near him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaaland is a young player, he has margins to improve but it\u2019s more about the team than him to get better.\u201d<\/p>\n
