Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has criticized Kylian Mbappe for his performance in Paris Saint-Germain\u2019s defeat to Barcelona on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Ligue 1 champions suffered a 3-2 loss in front of their fans, in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.<\/p>\n

Mbappe produced a below-par display in what could be his last chance to win the competition with PSG.<\/p>\n

After Raphinha gave Barca the lead, the hosts turned the game on its head as Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha struck just after half-time.<\/p>\n

Raphinha scored again, before Andreas Christensen headed in the winner in the 77th minute.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the game, Ferdinand said on TNT Sports: \u201cPSG are not out of it but they have got to be a much better version of themselves next game.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe one we spoke about, the best player in the world in my opinion; Mbappe. He didn\u2019t perform and when he doesn\u2019t perform PSG invariably don\u2019t get the result.\u201d<\/p>\n
