The Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, has condoled with the family of the deceased police officer attached to Abuja-Kaduna train that died while on board.<\/p>\n
NRC assured the public that the agency has medical personnel available on all trains to provide immediate assistance in case of emergency while on board.<\/p>\n
Last week, a police officer attached to the Abuja-Kaduna train suffered sudden medical emergency and passed away.<\/p>\n
The NRC management in a statement in Abuja, emphasized its commitment to the safety and comfort of all passengers.<\/p>\n
The statement noted that the NRC management\u2019s attention had been drawn to publications on various social and mainstream media concerning the non-availability of medical personnel on passenger trains, which allegedly led to the Police officer\u2019s death onboard the Abuja\u2013Kaduna passenger train.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor the avoidance of doubt, the medical personnel on duty was Mariam Abdulai who was assisted by a good Samaritan medical practitioner that happens to be our passenger on board to revive the ailing cop but was in futility,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
The management of the NRC, therefore, expressed the agency\u2019s heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family of the late Police Inspector, Nambut Selbol.<\/p>\n
