Mainoo has become one of United\u2019s standout performers this season, despite the club\u2019s overall struggles.<\/p>\n
He recently made his senior international debut and won Man of the Match in a draw against Belgium.<\/p>\n
While Mainoo sat out training on Thursday, he attended Friday\u2019s session and could still play in what is a crucial match for United.<\/p>\n
Ten Hag has spoken to the youngster about staying grounded amid his success, with hopes he can continue his impressive season.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo far he\u2019s handled the situation very well. If he gets carried away, of course, me as a manager and we as coaches, we will intervene,\u201d Ten Hag told reporters at his pre-match interview ahead of the Brentford clash on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
