Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State on Thursday evening released a goodwill message in celebration of Easter, calling for national rebirth against Nigeria\u2019s daunting challenges.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur nation is facing challenges that we can overcome if we choose to, by exercising collective tolerance and being ready to make sacrifices,\u201d Fintiri said.<\/p>\n
According to the Easter message sent to newsmen by Fintiri\u2019s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, while calling for a national rebirth to move Nigeria forward, the governor urged attitudinal change.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis season should serve as a reminder of the selflessness, love, sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ,\u201d Fintiri said, urging Christians to show the spirit of unity, love and peace as the world celebrates Easter.<\/p>\n
He stressed that such fundamental values would go a long way in strengthening the harmony in the state and country.<\/p>\n
Governor Fintiri advised Nigerians to always provide selfless service to humanity just as Christ demonstrated through his death and resurrection.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cWhen we show love and offer selfless service just as Christ did, then our nation and indeed the world we live in will be a better place for all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said the teaching about being your brother\u2019s keeper is even more apt now because Nigeria needs a peaceful environment for development to thrive.<\/p>\n
