The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Buba, has condemned the killing of the Village Head of Riruwai community, Garba Badamasi.<\/p>\n
Badamasi, the traditional leader of Riruwai in Toro Local Government Area, LGA, was kidnapped last Friday when gunmen stormed his village and also attacked his palace.<\/p>\n
The assailants did not contact any of his family members. The lifeless body was later recovered by those who had embarked on the search for him.<\/p>\n
The corpse was transported to the palace of the District Head of Lame in Gumau on Sunday for funeral prayers and burial in accordance with Islamic injunctions.<\/p>\n
Mourning the tragic demise, Senator Buba, in a statement on Tuesday, urged the security agencies to be proactive in tracking and arresting the perpetrators.<\/p>\n
The lawmakers charged them to ensure justice is served to those behind the dastardly act, with a view to cushioning the traumatic pain of the village head\u2019s family, relatives and associates.<\/p>\n
Buba described Badamasi as a \u201ccommunity head passionate about enhancing the welfare of his people and also the growth of Bauchi\u201d and prayed Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am calling on security agencies to do everything possible to ensure the killers of Riruwai village head are all arrested. They should be made to pay for their heartless action,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n
