A chieftain of the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party, (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has advised the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, to concentrate on his spiritual work.<\/p>\n
The NNPP chieftain enjoined the cleric to steer clear of politics.<\/p>\n
Oguntoyinbo made these declarations via a statement made available to DAILY POST on Saturday.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST recalls that Ayodele had earlier said that the NNPP candidate in Edo State, Azembe Arena, will not make any significant success in the September governorship election.<\/p>\n
Ayodele, in a release signed by his media aide, Tosin Oso, said Azena will only waste his money if he continues to pursue this ambition. https:\/\/dailypost.ng\/2023\/12\/04\/edo-your-anointed-candidate-will-disappoint-you-primate-ayodele-warns-obaseki\/<\/p>\n
Oguntoyinbo, in his reaction, said that he was shocked at the utterances of the cleric.<\/p>\n
He wondered why the cleric descended so low to the level he had reached.<\/p>\n
The NNPP, in the statement, then appealed to the cleric to concentrate on his church work.<\/p>\n
Oguntoyinbo said, \u201cOur candidate has not come to you to solicit for help, whether spiritual or financial, while narrowing down on Azemhe. Why don\u2019t you concentrate on your spiritual work? Why are you dabbling into politics?<\/p>\n
\u201cYou will do well to keep to your job as a spiritual person. If you drag yourself into politics, you will be dragged into the mud and you won\u2019t have any more respect.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a spiritual leader, there is an avalanche of work to do, but you leave that and concentrate on our candidate. How does it concern you if he loses his money? Did God send you to tell him that?\u201d.<\/p>\n
