Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has named Axel Disasi as the \u2018best player\u2019 during Chelsea\u2019s Premier League 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Caragher said Disasi performed like Chelsea legend John Terry against Man City.<\/p>\n
Goals from Raheem Sterling and Rodri ensured both teams shared the points at the Etihad.<\/p>\n
Disasi, meanwhile, started for the Blues against Pep Guardiola\u2019s side at the heart of their defence alongside Levi Colwill.<\/p>\n
The 25-year-old made a whopping 16 clearances and three blocks, and won all four of his aerial duels.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher said about Disasi: \u201cThat was a John Terry performance and I can\u2019t give any higher praise than that.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t remember a better defensive performance this season, certainly from a central defender.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are coming away to Manchester City, playing against the best striker in the world, he was brilliant. He was Man of the Match, definitely the best player on the pitch.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was just throwing himself in front of everything.\u201d<\/p>\n
