Football pundit Perry Groves has slammed Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira after being sent off in his side\u2019s Premier League win over Burnley on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Arsenal defeated Burnley 3-1, thanks to goals from Leandro Trossard, William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko.<\/p>\n

During the encounter, Vieira made a high and late tackle on Burnley\u2019s Josh Browhill.<\/p>\n

He was shown a red card by referee Michael Oliver in the 83rd minute of the clash.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the development, Groves hit out at the Portuguese on talkSPORT, referencing former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira, who was known for his physicality.<\/p>\n

Groves accused the 23-year-old of having an \u2018identity crisis\u2019 after the \u2018shocking\u2019 incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exactly the right decision from Michael Oliver, it\u2019s a really, really silly challenge from Fabio Vieira.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s gone right over the top of the ball, it\u2019s a straight-leg challenge, studs up, gets Josh Brownhill on his knee, Michael Oliver has absolutely no option but to send Fabio Vieira off,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI think he\u2019s having an identity crisis, he thinks he\u2019s Patrick Vieira. Because it was a ridiculously shocking challenge. It was reckless, it\u2019s dangerous and Michael Oliver had no option whatsoever but to send him off. He didn\u2019t even need VAR!\u201d<\/p>\n

Vieira will now miss Arsenal\u2019s next three fixtures against Brentford, Wolves and Luton Town.<\/p>\n
