The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says the ongoing Enugu South Urban State Constituency re-run election has been disrupted by hoodlums.<\/p>\n

The commission, while confirming this in a post on its official X handle, said election materials were destroyed during the unfortunate attacks.<\/p>\n

The post, however, indicated that no casualties were recorded aside from the obstruction of voting exercise.<\/p>\n

The post reads, \u201cA report from our Enugu State office indicates that hoodlums have disrupted the court-ordered re-run election in the Enugu South 1 State Constituency.<\/p>\n

\u201cFortunately, no casualties were reported, but election materials were destroyed, and voters were obstructed from casting their votes.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur officials have been safely evacuated with assistance from security agencies\u201d.<\/p>\n
