The convict pleaded guilty to the charge and begged the court for leniency.<\/p>\n
Delivering Judgment, Magistrate Mrs A.T Omoyele held that she convicted and sentenced the suspect based on his plea of guilty to the offence.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on the facts of this case, confirmed reports and the plea for leniency, I hereby sentence you to one month in prison without an option of fine,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST reports that the convict, of no fixed address, was arraigned on January 30, on a charge of fraud and stealing.<\/p>\n
Earlier, rhe prosecutor, Insp Koti Aondohemba, informed the court that Adewole committed the offence between November 2023 and January at Victoria Island, Lagos State.<\/p>\n
Aondohemba said that the convict obtained the money on the pretext of repairing the accident vehicle of Mr Temitope Akinbobola, who is the complainant.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor said that Adewole requested for N200,000 for the job and was fully paid, but failed to do the job and converted the money to his use<\/p>\n
The prosecutor noted that the sections contravened Section 314 and 287 (7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.<\/p>\n
