The Federal Government says plans are underway to boost food production in the country through mechanisation.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari stated this while speaking with newsmen at the end of the National Agricultural Growth Scheme and Agro Pocket, NAGS-AP, meeting on Saturday in Abuja.<\/p>\n
The meeting was organized ahead of the implementation of the second phase of 2023-2024 dry season farming in the country.<\/p>\n
The minister noted that mechanised farming was key to agriculture as it would support food production in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201dPresident Bola Tinubu said he is going to give us all the support for mechanisation and we will soon roll out the mechanisation programme,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
