Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State on Friday thanked God following his victory at the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST reports that the Supreme Court affirmed Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, as the duly elected Governor of Kano State.<\/p>\n
Yusuf\u2019s victory in the 2023 Governorship Election was challenged by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its governorship candidate in Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.<\/p>\n
The Court of Appeal had earlier nullified Yusuf\u2019s victory in the election over ineligibility.<\/p>\n
However, the Apex Court upturned the Appeal Court\u2019s judgment.<\/p>\n
Reacting, the governor posted on his verified X page: \u201cAlhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. \u2013 AKY\u201d<\/p>\n
