Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that it took Noni Madueke \u2018six months\u2019 to learn what he expects from him at the club season.<\/p>\n

Pochettino spoke at his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of Chelsea\u2019s FA Cup third round clash with Preston on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Recall that Chelsea signed Madueke from PSV in a seven-and-a-half year contract last year.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old, who can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder, has scored just four goals and has not provided a single assist in 23 games for Pochettino\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so happy, it took him nearly six months to realise what we expect from him,\u201d Pochettino said about Madueke.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlayers need to improve and he is improving a lot. His behaviour now and how he has committed to himself first, and with the rest of the ideas from the club.<\/p>\n

\u2018He has potential and talent in the way that he needs to do the things and behave in the future if he wants to succeed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is the platform for everyone and then it is about being right in your mind and being consistent in the way we propose they behave.\u201d<\/p>\n
