We have confidence in Judiciary – PDP Governors Forum

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors’ Forum, have reiterated their faith in the judiciary to render unbiased judgment.

Speaking to the press after a meeting at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, Chairman of the Forum, Bala Mohammed, who read the communiqué, said the governors reviewed recent Court of Appeal judgments concerning various states.

He said, “As a Forum, we once again re-state our overall confidence in the judiciary to do justice”.

Governor Mohammed said, “we believe that the Supreme Court will do justice in the cases where we recorded temporary setbacks like Zamfara and Plateau States”.

He also stated that the meeting went over the off-season elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo States.

Bala Mohammed expressed the governor’s concern about the nation’s economy and pleaded with the Nigerian government to prioritize the implementation of a new Revenue Allocation Formula, which would provide more money to states and local governments to help them meet their increased responsibilities.
