VON DG calls for media-military synergy for enhanced national security

Mallam Jibrin Ndace, Director General of Voice of Nigeria, VON, has called for effective coordination between the media and the military in addressing insecurity in Nigeria.

He made this statement shortly after the launching of projects carried out by the Nigerian Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Minna, Niger State.

“The task of securing Nigeria can be achieved through good reportage of activities of the military. I plead with my colleagues in the media for maximum cooperation to promote full activities of the Nigerian Army,” he added.

Mallam Ndace also praised the TRADOC Commandant’s gesture of commissioning blocks of flats built to improve the welfare of military personnel.

The TRADOC also recognized Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), for his considerable commitment to promoting the activities of the Nigerian Army.

The award was presented by representatives of the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Sani Gambo Mohammed, emphasizing that the DG had a critical part in the success of military operations against insurgency throughout his service as a field reporter with the Army.

The Nigerian Army recognized the DG’s exceptional efforts, thanking him for his tremendous support, particularly in their attempts to restore the nation’s glory.
