Vice President Shettima calls for global alliances against domestic aggression

The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has emphasized the importance of forming global alliances to combat crises created by external aggressions and domestic dangers.

He observed that Nigeria and other countries bear the burden of defending their citizens from transnational crimes such as terrorism, climate change and cybercrime, among other global challenges.

The Vice President, speaking at the graduation ceremony of the Executive Intelligence Management Course 16, 2023 of the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) in Abuja on Saturday, told the graduates that they are great minds equipped with the necessary knowledge to combat the threats to keep the continent stable.

He noted that cutting-edge information, transforming skills and new ideas, such as those developed by NISS graduates, are required for Nigeria and its neighbours to secure their country from challenges both within and outside their borders.

He stated: “Every part of the world today has been working around the clock to form alliances to stop external aggressions and forge solutions to domestic threats. This practical approach is crucial to tame crises and drive stability.
