William Troost-Ekong has urged his Super Eagles teammates to go all out for a win in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
The West Africans are yet to record a win in the qualifiers with two draws from their opening two games.
Finidi George’s side will host South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, next Friday.
Defeat in the game could end the Super Eagles’ chance of qualifying for the global soccer fiesta.
“Very important game. We all know we want to be in the 2026 World Cup,” Troost-Ekong said on Arise News.
“Coach Finidi is coming now, has been appointed, which I think everyone’s very happy about – someone who understands Nigerian football. He’s been our assistant coach and deserved this shot now to be the head coach.”
