Unizik gets new Registrar

The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has announced the appointment of Mr Samuel Nnaemeka Ufoh, as the new Acting Registrar of the institution.

This was made public through a letter by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Charles Esimone, which was made available to the media on Monday.

The letter read: “In the absence of the Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and in the exercise of my powers as the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, I hereby appoint you as Acting Registrar of the University with effect from Monday, 8th April 2024.

“You will remain in that position until a substantive Registrar is appointed except as may be dictated by any emergent exigencies. I hope that your performance in office will justify the confidence inherent in this appointment.”

Ufoh replaces Barr Philomena Okoye whose retirement was on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Before his appointment, Ufoh was a Deputy Registrar 1 in charge of Personnel Unit of the Registry. Ufoh is a pastor of the Foursquare Gospel Church, he hails from Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
