UCL: We’re having trouble, I’m worried – Ancelotti admits after 1-0 defeat to Lille

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has admitted that things are not working out within the team.

The Champions League holders suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at Lille on Wednesday night.

Jonathan David scored the winner from the penalty spot, ending Los Blancos’ 36-game unbeaten run.

Ancelotti has now said his players are finding it difficult to create.

He said: “The feeling is that we are having trouble generating, creating, and possession has been slow, with few ideas… today it is obvious that things have not worked out.

“We have forwards who need us to play more vertically.

“The sadness is because the feeling has not been good, you can lose because this is sport, but today we did not give a good feeling.

“I am worried. We have all the resources to learn and improve, we have to fix things quickly.”
