Rangers manager, Philippe Clement reserved special praise for Cyriel Dessers after the forward rescued a draw for the Gers against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday night.
The Scottish Premiership side were on the brink of losing the UEFA Champions League first leg qualifying round tie, before Dessers cancelled out Andriy Yarmolenko’s first half strike deep into stoppage time.
Clement has defended Dessers several times in the face of constant criticisms over his performance.
The Belgian once again praised the Nigerian for his performance against the Ukrainian champions.
“If you compare him to seven months ago, he does much more for the team,” Clement told the BBC.
“Maybe people have a perception of him, but I know that no defender likes to play against him. He’s only growing. That’s what we want.”
