Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has claimed other teams don’t want to face the Gunners when the Champions League Round of 16 draws are made.
Mikel Arteta’s men are through to the knockout stages of the competition following a 6-0 thrashing of Lens on Wednesday night.
They will finish as group winners despite having to travel to PSV on December 12 for their last fixture.
Merson has now tipped his former side to go “a long way” in both the Champions League and Premier League.
“I said at the start. I thought they are big players in this tournament. No one will want to play them.
“They clicked tonight – and when they start well, they’re hard to beat.
“They will go a long way in this tournament and they’ll be right up there in the Premier League title race,” Merson said on Soccer Special.
