UCL final: Real Madrid didn’t deserve draw against Dortmund – Carvajal

Despite Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on Saturday night, defender Dani Carvajal, admitted that his team didn’t even merit a draw against the Bundesliga side.

Carvajal, who scored the opening goal for Real Madeid in the 74th minute, was candid about the Los Blancos’ performance.

In a post-match interview, the Spain international said via (MadridXtra on X):

“We didn’t even deserve a draw, but this is football.”

Carvajal’s comments likely referred to Dortmund’s dominant performance in the first half, where they came close to scoring multiple times, including Niclas Fullkrug hitting the post.

Meanwhile, Vinicius Jr. also scored for Carlo Ancelotti’s side during the encounter.
